Nestled in the heart of Lisbon’s vibrant Bairro Alto, Grapes & Bites is more than just a wine bar — it’s a true celebration of Portuguese flavors, wines, and hospitality.

Since opening our doors, we've created a cozy and elegant space where locals and travelers come together to enjoy some of Portugal’s finest wines, delicious petiscos (small plates), and authentic live music in a relaxed, charming atmosphere.

What we believe in

The charm of the Grapes & Bites wine house begins with its location, which is as central as it is vibrant. We are located in Bairro Alto, where bohemian life and everyday life, arts and traditional commerce intersect, just a few steps away from the cosmopolitan offerings of Chiado and downtown Lisbon. At Grapes & Bites, you will find an atmosphere of comfort and sophistication and a carefully selected selection of over 600 references, with 300 wines by the glass, from all of Portugal's wine regions. To accompany the particularities of each wine, we have a menu of snacks, dishes and convent sweets, with the best of regional Portuguese gastronomy, enhanced by the techniques and aesthetics of contemporary cuisine. With great knowledge and dedication, our team suggests the best combination of aromas, textures and flavors, adapted to the taste of each client and, sometimes, it is also possible to catch them singing along to the live music that livens up our winehouse every night , between 7 pm and 10 pm .
